A box and lid, also known as a lid and base box, comes as two separate pieces. These gift boxes can have lids of varying depths, from a shallow lid through to a deep drop lid. These are widely used as they are the entry price point as a box style, with branding or print adding a new dimension to a standard box shape.
Boxes with lids can be used for all sorts of products and gifts, from candles, cosmetics, and beauty products, to photos, clothing, and accessories.
Flap Lid Box
A flap lid box is a 'tray' with a three-part lid made up to be fixed to the back of the tray - fold over the lid and close with a magnetic fastening on the front. There is an option to have the flap folding all the way to the base of the tray or fall short for ease of opening, and a ribbon tab can be added for lifting or as extra detail. Customers can also add printing inside the flap lid or even add card inserts to hold literature where required.
These gift boxes are often used as presentation-style boxes - creating an 'opening' when the lid is folded back, perfect for a reveal.

Wrap Lid Box
A box with a four-part lid which is attached under the tray, on the back, folds over the top, and closes with a magnetic flap. There is an option to have the flap folding all the way to the base of the tray or fall short for ease of opening, and again a ribbon tab can be added for lifting or as extra detail.
A wrap lid box features a lid that goes all the way around the box, and is often used as a presentation box for product launches.

Slip Case
A slip case is a five-sided box that is open at one end. It provides a great protective covering for any product inside, and is usually used to present books where the spine is visible in the opening. It's a classic box style for single publications or a series of literature.
Shoulder Box
A three-part box style where the lid and base have an additional inner tray, which is secured inside the base. The lid and base meet when closed, fully covering the 'shoulder'.
These premium gift boxes can have a variety of uses, including for jewellery and delicate items.

Exposed Shoulder Box
A three-part box style where the lid and base have an additional inner tray, which is secured inside the box. The lid and base do not meet when closed, exposing the 'shoulder'. This can vary in size - the lid and base dimensions are adjusted to create this.
These shoulder boxes are great options for conveying that extra bit of luxury in a gift box, with the option to add a striking two-tone design, a pop of colour, or a printed contrast.
Tray and Slip Case
A slip case and drawer, where the slip case is open at one end only and the tray can have a thumb cut or ribbon tab for easy opening. A tray and slip case comes as two separate pieces - with the tray/drawers creating a reveal presentation as they are pulled out. Contrast paper can be used in each element and the tray can be lined for added luxury if required.
Small trays can be used for delicate items like jewellery and accessories, while larger boxes can be used to store magazines, documents, brochures, leaflets, and cards.
Hinged Lid Box
A flush base and lid joined together on one hinged edge - the perfect presentation box for perfumes, jewellery, and accessories.
Our hinged gift boxes come with or without an additional insert, which can be added if the product requires it.

Hinged Shoulder Box
A three-part box with a base, lid, and a tray inside secured to the base - the hinged lid is joined on one edge.
The 'shoulder' adds luxury and a more premium feel to our boxes with its two-tone design, making these gift boxes great for presenting engagement and wedding rings.
One-piece Clamshell Box
A simple one-piece box that opens like a book.
A clamshell gift box features a lid section on one side and a tray that is attached to the base. This box is an ideal presentation box for photographs, documents, or sending out sample kits of your products to potential clients and customers. Inserts can be added to the tray to hold products securely in place if desired.

Book Style Wrap
A box that opens like a book, but with ribbon ties on the front. These are attached to both the lid and the base and are tied to close the box, adding a touch of detail and luxury for presentation. The base of the tray can be shallow or deep to house products such as publications or samples of products or gifts.
