Internal and External Extras

As well as making boxes at Tiny Box Maker, we can also design inserts, from card to foam, that fit your product exactly. Other extras include satin lining for extra elegance, and external extras like sleeves and belly bands can be branded for additional personalisation for your box.

Internal Extras

Card Inserts

Card inserts offer a sustainable solution to hold products inside your boxes - this won’t work for every product, but if you let us know what items you wish to hold securely we can advise if this is an option. We can offer white and black inserts for our gift boxes, or we can line the card to match the outer box for an extra luxury finish. Foam Inserts

Foam inserts with apertures cut are a great protective option to hold the products snuggly inside the gift box - these are often used for breakable or fragile items and can be layered and cut precisely to hold various objects. We will require the items in advance in order to get the tooling costs accurate – please be aware if selected this has a lead time which can impact the make-up of the boxes. Foam can be high density for a more rigid finish, or a softer open cell foam, or for a more luxurious touch can be flocked for a velvet feel. Please note that colours are limited.

Satin and Beads

Looking for a soft opulent interior for your products to 'nestle' in? Try satin over beads – this elegant option is particularly suited to glass, baubles, bottles, and ceramics, with a few satin colours available. Please note the box will need to be made slightly bigger to accommodate this filling, to ensure the items are safely held in place once the lid is on. Satin is available on its own as an interior finish, but will be ‘flowing’ inside the box as it cannot be glued to the interior.

Suedel Lining

The interior of the boxes can also be lined with Suedel, providing a touch of glamour and a luxurious finish. With a small section of colours available (black is usually the most popular), this can create a soft velvet finish for products to be presented in. It can elevate the feel of any box, from the inside of slip cases to trays in wrap lid boxes - find out more about the different box styles from Tiny Box Maker here.

External Extras

Belly Bands

A belly band is a great way to add branding and a finishing touch to your gift boxes – this can be fully printed, debossed, or foiled. It’s a great solution to upgrade plain boxes or print a message for a seasonal launch. A belly band is a narrower card band that wraps around the box and holds the lid and base together - we will need to either have the box or know the outer dimensions of the box to ensure the fit is correct.

Sleeves

A sleeve is a larger card band - this usually covers the whole width of the box and adds a further branding opportunity to your gift boxes. It can be printed and foiled and is an excellent solution for promotional or seasonal launches, elevating a plain box with some dynamic finishing touches.
